Mary,
Mother of Jesus
and our Mother

"Far from any conquest, the mission is a Visitation. Like Mary, who carries the One who carries us, we go out to visit our brothers and sisters in order to help them, and each encounter is like an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, a Pentecost" : wrote in 2012 Mgr. Paul Desfarges, the then Bishop of Constantine.
To his words echoed those of our Bishops of the Episcopal Conference of North Africa: "Our Churches, in the footsteps of Mary, live the apostolate of encounter... Mary teaches us to move from efficiency to fertility. With the Holy Spirit, she introduces us into the grace of free service, where the relationship is pure respect, gift without prejudice, relief from all suffering, joy of all joy, sadness of all evil" (Servants of Hope, Cerna 2014)

With her silent and humble presence, Mary permeates the entire life of our Church: she accompanies us as a Mother, sustains us, opens the way for us and speaks to the hearts of those who seek the comfort of a maternal presence.
She teaches us to be the Church of the Visitation according to her style of service, joy and humility. We must always return to Her so that our lives may be announcement and presence of the Holy Trinity.
"Mother of Jesus" is the title of Mary in the Koran, a title that also appears on the icon of Our Lady of Morocco. We witness the love and reverence of our Muslim brothers towards her.
We entrust the path of our Community and of our Churches to Her.
The icon of Our Lady of Morocco
Like all icons, the icon of Our Lady of Morocco was born as a desire to put into image a particular inspiration that opens towards the infinite of God.
The original icon, which we keep in our monastery, was written in 2018. Since then, it was distributed in Christian and non-Christian environments, confirming the original desire : an image that is sign of unity, inculturation, dialogue and peace.
In this video we present a brief explanation of the icon of Our Lady of Morocco with its main elements.

"May the Virgin Mary, Mother of Hope,
join us on the road
so that, from Visitation to Visitation,
with joy and humility,
we may serve and radiate a little more every day
the One who wanted to make us his witnesses"
